LCD SOUNDSYSTEM – LOSING MY EDGE (debut single)
on November 18, 2012 at 1:47 pmLCD SOUNDSYSTEM – LOSING MY EDGE, DEBUT SINGLE AND FIRST STEP OF A FANTASTIC 9-YEARS JOURNEY
Released in 2002, it was only the third release for DFA and the first James Murphy attempt as a performer, after production works for The Rapture and Juan MacLean.
Still considered by many the LCD SOUNDSYSTEM best song, it gives to Murphy the opportunity to list many of the bands that gave him inspiration and whose records he used to play when DJing (see list at the end of this post).
Losing my edge is also included in the bonus disc of the debut album Lcd Soundsystem (2005).
Lcd Soundsystem is probably the only band in history of modern music that planned and celebrated its own end, with a final near four-hour show at New York (Madison Square Garden – 2 april 2011).

Great and accurate comment Giorgio for a supreme piece of music. Production wise the sound is very distinctive especially bass and snate
